Founder of DMK FINANCE, Daria Mihaesco has been working in the banking sector since 1993.

After graduating in Finance and Marketing with the University of Lausanne (HEC) in 1992, she joined the Investment Consulting department of The Swiss Bank Corporation, then moved to SBC Warburg London in 1996. There, she worked on Eastern European Economic Research and produced publications about Romania, Bulgaria and Russia while collaborating with traders, notably during the first Russian Eurobonds issue. In 1997, she joined the Russian Private banking department at UBS in Geneva before leaving for Russia, where she learned Russian proficiently while working for UBS in Moscow. In 1998 she obtained a diploma from the MGU (University of Moscow) in commercial Russian. In 2003 she was promoted to be a director and became Deputy Desk Head for Eastern Europe in Geneva. The same year, she joined Credit Suisse as Team Leader and Deputy Desk head for both Eastern European teams, with a strong contribution to the Private banking strategy in the region.  As a side note, she was featured in 2005 on the cover of the Credit Suisse annual report.

From 2006 to 2011, she worked at Lombard Odier Darier et Hentsch as Head of the Eastern European Group (Executive Vice President) where she set up a new team and strongly contributed to the development of the bank’s positive image in Eastern Europe.  In June 2011, she left in order to create her own company.

Daria Mihaesco published articles and commentaries about Eastern Europe in the local press (Le Temps, 24 heures, Bilan), which were also published by the press in Russia, Belgium, France).

She remains in excellent terms with all her former employers and has been keeping strong and positive ties with all the banking institutions she worked with.   

While French is Daria Mihaesco’s mother tongue, she also is fluent in Romanian, English, Russian, German and Italian.
